Happy Holidays & Thank You from Triad United Rowing!

As we head into the Holiday Season the members of the board of Triad United Rowing Association would like to express their gratitude to all those who have supported the program this season. Thanks to our incredible benefactor Dr. Lenny Peters and his organizations Bethany Medical, and the Lenny Peters Foundation, we have hosted amazing boat races on Oak Hollow Lake this year drawing thousands to High Point. Thank you Dr. Peters!

Mark your calendars for April 15, 2023 when we host our next regatta.

It takes great partnerships to host regattas and we are grateful to the City of High Point's Parks & Recreation Department for maintaining the parks around Oak Hollow Lake in such pristine condition. More recently the city has teamed up with Visit High Point to install a dock for racing at Festival Park with a race course also to come this Fall. Thanks to support from Visit High Point and the High Point City Council we will soon have additional motor boats to attract visiting teams to High Point for spring break training in March and April next year. These teams will bring a healthy economic boost to our local tourism industry. 

This month we held our first fundraising campaign since the days of pre-Covid 19 and our rowers & crew parents quickly ensured it was a success. The $10,000 needed to purchase an enclosed trailer for the team to transport our cooking supplies, tables and tents to regattas was raised in just a week, with additional funds raised to go toward the purchase of a defibrillator in the erg room. This trailer will be a much needed addition for the club. Thank you so much to these rowers & parents who supported this important campaign:
