Triad Rowers Head Indoors for Winter

Following a successful youth learn to row weekend and a strong Fall showing by both the youth and adult Masters squads, Triad United rowers are now moving indoors to the rowing machines in Jamestown for winter training. 

"There will be some weekends when we might make it back to the lake but for the most part we are now indoors, primarily because we just don't have he daylight hours in the afternoons anymore," says club director Gene Kininmonth. 

Indoor rowing sessions in Jamestown have begun for both youth and Masters. The address is 124C Wade Street, Jamestown, NC. 

Youth Programs

Please note, all youth winter programs will go through to February 22, 2025 after which the spring sessions begin.

There are two programs for youth. The first is a 3 day per week program for Middle School rowers. The days are Tuesday & Thursday (4:45pm - 6:15pm) and Saturday morning (9am - 10:30am). The second youth program is for high school rowers, which is each afternoon Monday thru Friday from 4:45pm - 6:15pm, and Saturday morning 9am - 10:30pm. Adult Masters

The next adult program begins January 4 and goes through March 5. Practices are held in Jamestown Monday & Wednesday 6pm - 7:30pm and Saturday morning 7:30am - 9am. The cost is $200. Rowers will torch those Christmas calories and quickly be prepared to glide across the beautiful waters of Oak Hollow Lake in February.
