Filippi to be Official Boat Supplier in High Point

Filippi Shells will be the Official Racing Shell of the High Point Autumn Rowing Festival presented by Bethany Medical, race organizers have announced. 

As part of the deal, Filippi will provide a shell to the visiting University of Cambridge women's crew. Earlier this year Cambridge raced in a Filippi racing shell to win The Boat Race against Oxford on The Thames, smashing the course record in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators. Last summer, New Zealand also won the Olympic Games in Tokyo in a Filippi shell. 

More recently, USRowing announced Filippi would be the exclusive supplier of shells for its national team at the world championships.

"To have a boat manufacturer of this distinction be part of our event is simply incredible", says regatta chair Erin Sanders. "Filippi boats have been winning and setting world records at the highest levels of the sport."

Cambridge will race Duke and UNC Chapel Hill for the Dr. Lenny Peters Cup in High Point, North Carolina on October 2.
